Santa store in Brest
The management of Santa trading network contacted Eliteholod company with the following task: to connect the energy equipment of the shop in Brest to a monitoring and automation system.
Objectives:
- Switch to energy-efficient operation
- Connect the object to a monitoring system
- Provide convenient and easy access to control all the equipment of the store
Our work began with an analysis of the object and its equipment. The company's specialists visited the store and carefully studied the equipment, the plan of the sales area and drew a detailed map of the object. For each group of energy consumers, CAREL Emeter3SE electricity meters were installed to collect data for further analysis.
Some of the equipment already had CAREL automation installed, and some were equipped with the automation of another brand.
To configure the correct operation of the system, it was decided to:
- Equip refrigeration control panels and chambers with CAREL automation for connecting to the monitoring system
- Integrate third-party devices into the monitoring system
- Automate lighting in the store
- Turn on and configure the energy-efficient modes
Since the trading network will do service maintenance by themselves, it was decided to make the process of managing the equipment easy and understandable. To do this, it was necessary to gather all data of the object in one monitoring system. The choice fell on CAREL Boss.
Then we started preparing the equipment for connecting to the system:
- We installed CAREL automation on refrigeration control panels and chambers
- Integrated controllers of the pumping station, ventilation and air conditioning into the monitoring system using MODBUS protocol
- Automated lighting:
- We set up lighting control for refrigerated furniture according to the store’s opening hours
- We installed door sensors and connected them to CAREL SmartCella controller to control camera lighting
- Equipped the object with pChrono controller with a built-in astronomical relay. This made it possible to adjust the operating mode of the parking lighting, signboard, vestibule, checkout area and checkout area
- We connected the control of the thermal curtain to CAREL pChrono controller
- We installed humidity and temperature sensors in the store. This was done for HACCP registration.
Then Eliteholod monitoring specialist joined in the work. He created a detailed plan of the object and rendered its main parameters for each connected device.
He added all energy groups to the plan:
- Main power input and emergency
- Centrals: plus and minus
- Trading furniture
- Cold stores
- Air conditioners
- Ventilation
- Lighting
He gathered the data on energy consumers into one schedule, which displays the current and total value of electricity consumption.
Added to the plan images and status indicators of the following:
- Thermal curtain
- Conditioning
- Ventilation
- Parking
- Signboard
- Tambour
- Checkout area
For the thermal curtain, air conditioning and ventilation systems, the program also displays the values of the current temperature.
So, finally, we obtained the plan of the object, in which data on all connected devices is displayed in real-time. This will greatly simplify the work of the dispatcher and allow him to respond quickly if a problem occurs.
After all the data in the CAREL Boss system is combined, the object is connected to CAREL RemotePro global monitoring network. In the future, CAREL RemotePro monitoring program will allow a dispatcher to control all stores connected to it in a single interface.
The customer was pleased with the work done and expressed his intention to replicate the solution to other stores of the trading network.
